Registration for children’s grief camp is now open

April 20, 2017

This one-day camp is designed to provide support and education to grieving school aged students. The goal is to help children understand more about grief and to normalize their feelings in a caring, supportive atmosphere. The camp will offer participants the opportunity to share how they feel among others who have experienced a similar loss.

There will be a variety of activities throughout the day including small group discussions, music, memory making as well as a closing ceremony that will include family members. The camp will be facilitated by Iowa City Hospice bereavement counselors and trained volunteers.

The camp will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at River Community Church, 3001 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City. Registration is required.
