Leadership

Maggie Elliott has been our executive director since 1995. In Iowa City Hospice’s tradition of community commitment, Maggie is involved with a variety of community organizations. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Johnson County, a member of the Livable Community for Successful Aging Policy Board, a member of the Business Exchange, an Iowa City group that encourages local business development; and a member of the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Commission. Maggie is also a member of local Rotary and PEO groups; and she volunteers with Elder Services, a regional agency specializing in services for elders and their caregivers.

In addition, Maggie is a member of the Iowa Hospice Organization and National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

For all who are touched by the need of hospice care, our organization is the oldest, most experienced hospice in the area. Iowa City Hospice is a not-for-profit, community-based organization that brings an unmatched combination of:

  • A personalized approach to patient and family care,
  • Quality staff with longevity and experience, and
  • A large, dedicated volunteer base

Maggie ElliotThe result is the most appropriate possible scope of hospice services and, ultimately, the respect, comfort, and peace of mind that patients and families need most.

At one of the most emotional, intimate transitions of your life, our compassionate staff and volunteers will be here to walk beside you—respecting your choices, and empowering you to retain control of your end-of-life care.

We are honored to be part of your care. If you have any questions or suggestions at any time, I encourage you to contact me at 319-688-4212, 800-897-3052 or maggie.elliott@IowaCityHospice.org.

Sincerely,

Maggie Elliott
